Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a multidisciplinary educational team serving children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students in developing communication, social, and functional skills within a collaborative, supportive environment.

The program utilizes an integrated, multidisciplinary model rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), incorporating speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, behavioral skills training, and social skills development. The primary goal is to support students in progressing toward less restrictive educational and community environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized speech and language therapy services to children with autism
\n
• Implement evidence-based interventions tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including behavioral specialists, occupational therapists, and educators
\n
• Utilize and support communication systems such as AAC and PECS when appropriate
\n
• Address oral motor, feeding, and sensory-based communication challenges as needed
\n
• Integrate behavioral strategies and play-based therapy approaches into treatment sessions
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes
\n
• Participate in team meetings, treatment planning, and professional development activities
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
\n
• Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure
\n
• CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
\n
• Strong CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) candidates will be considered
\n
• Experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) preferred
\n
• Experience implementing PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) preferred
\n
• Knowledge of oral sensory-motor therapy and/or feeding therapy preferred
\n
• Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders strongly preferred
\n
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavioral strategies, and play therapy is a plus
\n
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
