Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for its Raritan, NJ facility to receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing. The role involves equipment maintenance, data entry, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical lab specimens for testing and analysis
• Perform data entry and scanning of specimen and patient information
• Verify equipment functionality and conduct minor instrumentation maintenance
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and maintain work area cleanliness
• Complete administrative record logs and follow standard operating procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfort handling biological specimens and accurate specimen identification
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Experience with specimen processing or medical/laboratory work preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment

Compensation: $17.75-$20.00/hr. + shift differential
